UPDATE: No Injuries After Stolen SUV Smashes Into Home

UPDATED: 8:54 a.m., Tuesday:

Bristol Township police Sgt. Jason Mancuso said the SUV was stolen from the 400 block of Stonybrook Drive in Levittown. Police received a report several teenagers were entering vehicles on the street.

Patrol officers arrived within a minute of the call and found a teen in the SUV, which he then fled in before slamming into the home, Mancuso said.

The teen was taken into custody, but police did not release further information on him.

Residents inside a home in Bristol Township’s Levittown section escaped injury early Tuesday morning after an SUV crashed through a portion of their house.

The incident took place around 12:05 a.m. on Stonybrook Drive at its intersection with Shepherd Lane.

Carl Pierce, deputy chief of the Edgely Fire Company, reported that the SUV smashed through a bathroom and two bedrooms of the residence.

“They were home, but they weren’t sleeping in those rooms,” Pierce said.

A source familiar with the incident indicated that the vehicle was potentially stolen, and one individual was observed speaking with Bristol Township police at the scene.

Pierce described the damage to the William Levitt-built home as “extensive.”

In addition to the Bristol Township Police and the Edgely Fire Company, the Levittown Fire Company No. 1 and the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
