Fatal One-Vehicle Crash Under Investigation

A man died early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Newportville Road, according to Bristol Township police.

Officers said the crash happened at approximately 1:07 a.m. when the 27-year-old man driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck southbound in the area of Ritter Avenue went off the road.

The vehicle veered off the side of the road and struck a utility pole and several trees, police said.

The driver, whose name was not immediately released, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene, police said.

The Newportville Fire Company and the Bucks County Rescue Squad assisted police at the crash site.

The pickup truck was towed from the scene.

PECO crews were working to repair the utility pole following the crash.
