Police were dispatched to the LA Fitness in the Fairless Hills section of Falls Township on Wednesday, April 9, at 10:20 a.m. after the owner of a blue 2025 Tesla Model Y reported vandalism.

The owner stated the incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 5:05 p.m., police said.

Surveillance footage showed a 44-year-old man from Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County, exiting a silver Lexus, walking past the Tesla, and scratching the passenger front door with a key held in his left hand, police said.

Since Tesla leader Elon Musk, a billionaire government contractor, has taken a visible role in President Donald Trump’s administration, authorities have reported a rise in attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships. There have been several arrests for serious crimes.

Last month, the FBI issued an alert to state and local law enforcement agencies warning of incidents involving arson, gunfire, and vandalism targeting the manufacturer and its vehicles.
