
Anna Payne, of Levittown, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the age of 37. Anna bravely faced the challenges of cystic fibrosis throughout her life and fought a courageous four-year battle with stage four colon cancer.
A dedicated advocate and public servant, Anna served as vice chair of the Pennsylvania Rare Disease Advisory Council, she co-founded the Bucks County Cystic Fibrosis Alliance and server on many other boards and committees. Her commitment to her community led her to serve as a presidential delegate, township auditor, and ultimately, township supervisor. Prior to her career in government, Anna worked in financial services. In her leisure time, Anna enjoyed relaxing with her dog and watching her favorite entertainer, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Anna was raised in Levittown. She was a graduate of Neshaminy High School and Bucks County Community College.
Anna is survived by her mother, Kathleen Sweeney (nรฉe Bresch), father, John Payne, stepfather, Thomas Sweeney Sr., Uncle, Paul Bresch (Maryann Sherno), cousins, Paul (Desirae) and Austin, stepbrother, Tom Sweeney Jr. (Leslie), stepsister, Kristine Carroll (Rich), as well as ,many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Anna was pre-deceased by her stepbrother, Michael Sweeney.
Family and friends are invited to Anna’s life memorial at Celebrations, 2201 Galloway Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 6-9 p.m., with a service beginning at 6:30 p.m., guests will be invited to share memories following the service.
In Annaโs memory, please wear something that represents Annaโs favorite things, examples are something purple, Annaโs Bananaโs T-shirt, something from The Rock, the Phillies, or the Muppets, especially Animal.
