Middletown Township police were on the scene of a bank robbery late Thursday afternoon.

Just after 4:45 p.m., the Santander Bank by the Shoppes At Flowers Mill was hit by a robber, police said.
The suspect handed a note and implied he had a weapon, but one was not displayed during the crime, Feeney said.
According to Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla, no injuries were reported.

The chief said $8,000 was taken during the robbery.
Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-7 white man who was wearing a ski mask, a red Phillies hooded sweatshirt, and a gray bag that he used to take the money.

Capt. Pete Feeney said officers were on the scene investigating the robbery as of 5:30 p.m.
