The workshop is set for Saturday, November 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company in Croydon.
Bristol Township has teamed up with Heritage Conservancy, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, the East Coast Greenway Alliance, and consulting firm Michael Baker International to seek community input on the River Road Trail.
The proposed trail will will stretch from Cedar Avenue to just beyond the Wawa near Old Route 13.

The goal of building the trail is part of a broader effort to establish a continuous trail connecting to Bristol Boroughโs Riverfront Park and extending all the way to Philadelphia.
In 2021, the project received a $50,000 Regional Trails Program Grant from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to support the planning stages of the East Coast Greenway – River Road Trail Segment. Since receiving the grant, efforts have included designing the trail layout, conducting environmental reviews, rerouting parts of the trail, and engaging the public through surveys.
In August, an additional $200,000 grant was secured from the same commission to continue the trailโs planning and design phases. Part of the project includes negotiating a license agreement with PECO to allow the trail to pass under the power lines on River Road within the PECO right-of-way, officials said.
