Armistice Day was fittingly observed in the opening exercises at the Bristol High School this morning, with an appropriate program.

The opening song was “Onward Christian Soldiers,” which was sung by the school, after which the First Psalm was recited.

Miss Beulah Stackhouse delighted all with her rendition of Edgar A. Guest’s poem, “The Things That Make A Soldier Great.”

“America the Beautiful,” was sung by the school and the student body recited the “American’s Creed.”

Miss Rachel Bartine, head of the English Department, gave a very interesting talk and read parts of letters she had received from soldiers in different camps during the recent war.

At the close of the exercises, “The Star-Spangled Banner” was sung.

Joseph Lanza played the violin when the songs were rendered.
