A Lower Bucks County feline named Oskar Cats is an official candidate for the 2024 presidential election.

The feline’s campaign was formally registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) by his owner and campaign manager, Alex Gross, a Levittown-area emergency responder and publisher of DelawareValleyNews.com.
Inspired by Seymour Cats, Gross’ previous cat who ran in 2016, Oskar, who lives with Gross in Bensalem Township, has decided to take a leap into the political arena.
“Oskar wanted to follow in Seymour’s footsteps,” Gross explained. “He was told what it would take to be POTUS and was on board with doing a campaign when he got older.”

Described by Gross as a caring and loving cat, Oskar’s candidacy may seem unconventional, but his personality traits suggest a leader who puts others first – as long as they are friendly and bearing treats.
Oskar’s campaign has garnered popularity, with fans reaching out to express how much Oskar’s popular TikTok videos have helped them through tough times.
Oskar’s TikTok account, which launched in 2022, has become a significant component of his campaign, with more than 122,000 followers and millions of likes.

“Oskar is greatly surprised at how popular he is,” he said. “People from all over the world see it and communicate with him.”
The cat candidate’s stance on issues like free speech is clear: “Oskar is not going to ban TikTok,” Gross said.

The primary message of Oskar’s campaign is simple: he advocates for making animal cruelty a capital, federal offense and takes a firm stance on national security — “not all cats are good cats.”
