The planned development will see the demolition of the long-closed building at former Oliver Heckman Elementary School at 201 Cherry Street, which sits in Langhorne Borough and Middletown Township.
The 8.2-acre property site will be split with three duplex buildings, totaling six units of 1,650 square feet each, located along Cherry Street in Langhorne Borough. The larger portion in Middletown Township will feature 44 townhomes.
The preliminary plans, which include two stormwater basins and approximately two acres of open space, were recently shared with Langhorne Borough officials.

Erin Development is slated to come before the Middletown Township Zoning Hearing Board Wednesday, October 9, at 7 p.m.
Erin Development, which is based in Lower Makefield Township, was approved to purchase the property from the Neshaminy School Board for $3.2 million last year.
The school district decided to sell the building because it was too outdated to renovate economically.

The elementary school was constructed in 1966 and shuttered in 2016.
The school district had previously sought a buyer who would utilize the site in a way that would be beneficial to both Langhorne Borough and Middletown Township, including options like parks, healthcare facilities, or educational services.
