The incident happened on Wood Street in Bristol Borough last Thursday night.

The two girls – 8 and 11 years old – were unhurt in the shooting, authorities said.

The bullet entered a room where 8-year-old Lilly and her 11-year-old cousin Isabella were spending the evening. Lilly was sleeping while Isabella was sitting on another bed when the bullet pierced the wall, resident Priscilla Hewlett told 6abc.

“They shoot the gun and I heard it when it came out and I started running out of the house and telling my mom,” Isabella told the TV station.

Home security footage capturing the shooting was broadcast by the local TV station.

Hewlett, Lilly’s aunt and Isabella’s mother, told NBC 10 that the bullet is believed to have been fired from a neighboring residence.

โ€œAll the people out in the world: I just want to let you know, please donโ€™t play with guns,โ€ Lilly said to NBC 10.

As of this week, the investigation was active and no charges had been filed as of Wednesday, according to Bucks County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Manuel Gamiz.
