A fiery multi-vehicle crash blocked traffic on Route 1 southbound Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. on the highway just before Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Middletown Township.
One vehicle was engulfed in flames in the middle of the highway and a dislodged tire laid nearby.
Police and firefighters from the Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Management responded quickly to the scene and put down the flames.

Officials said no life-threatening injuries were reported.
The highway’s southbound lanes were temporarily blocked, which caused traffic delays in Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, and Middletown Township.

The highway was cleared and traffic returned to normal by 3:30 p.m.
