Starting Monday, August 19, motorists can expect lane closures along Maple Avenue/Old Lincoln Highway (Route 213) from South Bucks Town Road to Wheeler Way, as well as on Highland Avenue from Avenue F to Hulmeville Road. The closures are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily and will last through Friday, August 23.

The activity is part of PennDOT’s efforts initiated in the spring and summer to upgrade the stormwater systems.

The projects are crucial for improving the infrastructure and mitigating flooding issues in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties, PennDOT said.

Highway Materials Inc., which is based in Flourtown, Montgomery County, is responsible for the projects.

The local work is part of a broader $14.9 million project aimed at regional stormwater management upgrades. The work is fully funded by state money.

Drivers are advised to allocate extra travel time when passing through the affected areas.
