The Third District Fire Company on Harrison Street welcomed a group of marines as they returned to the reserve base on Ford Road.

McGoldrick noted that the Marines and their trucks lined up down the street by the fire station.

The service members mentioned that it typically takes about 2 1/2 hours to wash the trucks with garden hoses, and the 20 minutes it took for the undercarriage washer to clean them was a significant time saver, the chief said.

Neighbors came out to watch the cleaning process and ask why there were military vehicles on the quiet street.
