
Motorists traveling on State Road in Bristol Township’s Croydon section should prepare for delays and a closure due to ongoing utility work.

According to PennDOT, the state has issued a Highway Occupancy Permit for PECO to conduct work in the area.
The work will result in the following travel restrictions:
From Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, a lane closure with flagging will be in effect on State Road between Cedar Avenue and Wyoming Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Starting Monday, June 3, and running through Tuesday, September 3, a weekday closure will be in place on State Road between Cedar Avenue and Wyoming Avenue from from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Due to the closure, drivers will be detoured to Cedar Avenue, River Road, and State Road, according to PennDOT.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone to make sure residents can reach their homes and businesses.
PennDOT has advised drivers to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas due to expected backups and delays.
All scheduled construct work will be weather dependent.
