The individual in question had been contacted by officer. Despite a school notification suggesting otherwise, authorities confirmed that the man did not flee when approached, police said.
Detectives were conducting further interviews as part of their ongoing investigation on Friday afternoon, Lt. C.J. Winik said.
“We have had multiple reports of this suspicious subject and police have made contact with him on multiple occasions,” Winik said.

He added: “We do want to urge residents not to engage any subject based the schools notification.”

Police said information put out by the school, which suggested a 57-year-old man was behaving in a concerning manner and fled when confronted, was incorrect. The note to parents from the school said there were various reports of what was happening, but “it is evident that he was up to no good.”

Police will maintain a presence in the area on Friday.
Authorities have not filed any charges.
Investigators encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in the area of the school to contact the Bristol Township Police Department.
