Amid the heavy rain, firefighters were dispatched to the 1000 block of Winder Drive at 1:16 p.m. Saturday for a reported dwelling fire.
Firefighters quickly arrived and deployed two attack lines to combat the flames that were engulfing the kitchen, Third District Fire Company Chief Howard McGoldrick said.
Crews were able to contain the blaze to the kitchen and extinguish it in approximately 20 minutes.

The dogs were recovering after the fire, according to Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.
“All companies worked together to bring the fire under control quickly with minimal damage,” McGoldrick said.
The fire was determined to have started in the area of the stove, Dippolito said.
