If you received a notice to pay Bristol Township’s $10 per capita head tax, the township manager said you can ignore it.

Township Manager Randee Elton told LevittownNow.com on Monday that tax collection firm Berkheimer Associates mistakenly sent the collection notice to residents.
“Balances for 2024 will be processed to $0 and any payments received will be returned to the taxpayer,” Elton said.
The tax collection firm’s customer service department has been made aware of the issue, the township manager stated.

Elton said anyone who sent in payments will have the money returned.
Residents reported that the head tax bills began arriving over the weekend.

As LevittownNow.com reported last December, the township was eliminating the head tax after years of complaints from residents.
With the elimination of the head tax, its impact on the township’s budget is anticipated to be minimal, as the township only received $5 for each $10 paid.
Residents still have to pay property taxes.
