Police Chase Tears Through Bristol

A police chase ripped through parts of Bristol Borough and Bristol Township Thursday afternoon.

Details on the chase remained murky as of evening, but Bristol Township police Lt. Sean Cosgrove confirmed there was a “brief pursuit” involving township officers.

The driver was not arrested, and the incident remained under investigation, Cosgrove said.

LevittownNow.com readers and videos posted to social media showed the chase going on Route 13 in the borough and township.

A video recorded by Dalton Mccollum shows an older-model green SUV speeding across a lot in the area of Beaver Dam Road and Ashby Avenue. Several police vehicles were following.

No injuries were reported, Cosgrove said.
