Schools Announce Closures For Tuesday

Ahead of a nor’easter that will bring rain, snow, and gusty winds, local schools began announcing they will close for Tuesday.

Bristol Borough School District:

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Bristol Borough School District Buildings will be closed and all classes will be running asynchronous on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. ….. All Students are expected to log in to their Google Classrooms to complete all assignments. Attendance will be recorded in each class and determined by completion of assignments.”

Bristol Township School District:

REMOTE INSTRUCTION DAY TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13

After consultation with weather experts, local authorities and stakeholders, due to inclement weather and travel safety concerns, the Bristol Township Schools will move to a Remote Learning Day on Tuesday, February 13. 

All extracurricular events and activities are cancelled.   

Please take this evening to make arrangements for a positive and productive day of remote learning.

Only essential operations and management staff are expected to report to work.  All other BTSD employees should perform their work responsibilities virtually and be available throughout the work day.

Bucks County Technical High School:

“Due to the heavy snow forecast, Bucks County Technical High School and its offices will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13th. Tuesday will be an asynchronous learning day. All students are to log into Google Classroom for their assignments. All staff are to work remotely. Everyone be safe! The Authority Meeting is also canceled on Tuesday the 13th and will be rescheduled.“

Neshaminy School District:

Neshaminy will have a ONLINE LEARNING SNOW DAY on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. This will be an asynchronous online learning day. All students should have their Chromebooks at home, charged and ready to go in the morning. Below are the instructions for an asynchronous online learning day:

Students are expected to log into Canvas and complete their assignments before the following school day. There will not be online classroom discussions via Zoom.

All students will access their classwork on Canvas. Your assignments will be posted by 8:00 AM for all students in grades 5-12 and by 9:00 AM for students in grades K-4.*

Attendance

Elementary School Students: Attendance will be taken by filling out the Google form found in the announcement posted by your teacher in Canvas.
Middle & High School Students: Attendance will be taken for every academic class. Be sure to find the Google form in each of your Canvas courses.
Teacher Availability

Teachers in all grades will be actively monitoring their email and Canvas between the hours of 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM & 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.

*Parents of students receiving Special Education Services in the following areas should expect an email from your child’s case manager:

Autistic, Life Skills, Multiple Disabilities, and Specialized Learning Support.
