Blair, who serves Bucks County, was recognized for his role in a boating rescue operation that unfolded on August 26, 2023 at Tullytown Cove along the Delaware River in Tullytown Borough and Bristol Township.

The incident occurred when a 23-foot boat carrying four people at night struck a large channel marker, resulting in the vessel being half-submerged and rapidly sinking.

Upon his arrival at the scene, Blair found several of the boat’s passengers with serious injuries, including one victim who was in and out of consciousness.

Officials said Blair immediately took action to the emergency.

He provided life jackets to the boaters and then assisted them onto the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission patrol boat.

The victims were transported to a nearby marina where ambulances were standing by to offer medical assistance.
