Using a helicopter, crews examined transmission lines Wednesday and Thursday, PECO spokesperson Madison Davis said.

“This work is part of our ongoing maintenance and inspection programs to ensure safe and reliable service for our customers,” Davis said.

The helicopter inspections are part of the process to look at equipment and identify maintenance work that may be needed, Davis explained.

Photos and videos of the helicopter lit up social media this week in Lower Bucks County.

LevittownNow.com readers reported seeing the chopper in Falls Township, Bristol Township, and Middletown Township.

The helicopter inspections are not uncommon in the area and usually cause a stir.
