Fatal Crash In Middletown Claims Life Of 21-Year-Old Driver

A crash that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man was discovered on Wednesday morning, according to the Middletown Township Police Department.

Authorities said they were called to South Flowers Mill Road near the Public Storage building around 7 a.m. following reports of a truck that had struck a bridge. During the response, officers spotted a bronze-colored Nissan Altima in the creek on the west side of the roadway.

Upon closer inspection, the driver was found still inside the vehicle, but he had unfortunately not survived the crash, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the Nissan Altima had been traveling southbound on South Flowers Mill Road when it veered off the roadway. The vehicle reportedly hit a large stone near the storage facility, which propelled it into the creek below.

The exact time of the crash remained unclear as officials continue their investigation into the death.

South Flowers Mill Road was closed for several hours as police investigated the crash and dealt with the truck stuck under the bridge.
