Police activity in Bristol Township’s Croydon section was tied to an investigation by city authorities.

Bristol Township police Lt. Sean Cosgrove said the activity Wednesday on Fourth Avenue was part of a Philadelphia Police Department operation.
In an email, a Croydon resident told LevittownNow.com there were a number of undercover officers and unmarked cars when the incident happened on Fourth Avenue between State Road and Delaware Avenue.
A tradesman working in the area said a resident informed him it was a police raid around dawn.

On the “Yes I Lived in Croydon PA” Facebook group, residents posted they heard officers yell that they were with a task force during the police operation.
A Philadelphia Police Department spokesperson said they did not have information on the activity.

No charges related to the incident were filed in the local district court on Wednesday or Thursday.
