From Monday through Friday, there will be a lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Maple Avenue between Woodbourne Road and Wheeler Way.

PennDOT said it is upgrading stormwater management and facilities along state roadways.

A contractor for PennDOT started the work three weeks ago.

Due to the work and lane closures, PennDOT officials have asked drivers to give extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

The stormwater work is weather dependent.

The Middletown Township project is part of a larger $14.9 million regional stormwater project on more than 90 state roads.

State funds are being used to pay Highway Materials Inc., of Flourtown, Montgomery County, for the work.
