A woman was injured after she crashed Wednesday morning along I-295.

The call came in just past 7:30 a.m. for a car that went off the highway’s eastbound lanes just past East Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township.
The car veered off the highway into a grassy area and then into a wooded area, Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said.
The car traveled a few hundred feet before it hit a tree in the woods and rolled over.

Farry said a woman who was in the car was unable to reach her cell phone or didn’t have it with her to summon help.
A passing motorist spotted the crash and dialed 9-1-1.

“If that bystander didn’t call that it, I don’t know if anyone would have seen that car,” Farry told LevittownNow.com.
Firefighters went into the woods, disentangled the woman so she could exit the car, and helped her up a hill to a waiting ambulance, Farry said.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
