A 26-year-old Philadelphia man is set to face charges following a traffic stop where Pennsylvania State Police discovered drugs and weapons, authorities said.

The incident occurred on Saturday, December 30 at approximately 11:05 a.m. when state troopers pulled over a 2018 Hyundai Elantra on I-95 northbound in Bristol Township. The specific reason for the stop was not disclosed in a press release issued Sunday by the state police.
During the stop, a trooper observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle, state police said.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, consented to a search of the Hyundai, leading to the discovery of multiple allegedly illegal items, state police said.

Authorities reported finding 24 Xanax pills, a stun gun, brass knuckles, and additional drug paraphernalia inside the car.
The charges against the Philadelphia man are pending, troopers said.
