A man was arrested and jailed after an investigation led to a child pornography charge being lodged this week.

Walter Fred Godwin, 53, of Falls Township’s Levittown section, was preliminarily arraigned Wednesday before on-call District Judge Frank Peranteau Sr. on charges of child pornography, possession of a controlled substance, and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
Falls Township police said they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that alleged a company that provides cloud storage had discovered one of its users had saved, shared, or uploaded potentially illegal content to its system.
Police said the files were child porn of prepubescent girls.

A search warrant was served on the technology company and uncovered more images of suspected child porn featured kids who were naked or performing sex acts, police said.
Godwin was allegedly linked to the account with the content.

Last Thursday, Falls Township detectives and a special agent from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations served a search warrant on Godwin’s residence in the Village of Pennbrook apartments, police said.

Law enforcement, according to court papers, found child porn on Godwin’s cell phone in a secured folder.
Two Falls Township detectives were talking to Godwin and he said he had not been looking for child porn, but porn featuring teens, according to court papers.

When asked if there was child porn on his cell phone, he allegedly responded: “I sure hope not. There may be four, four pictures of younger chicks.”
During the search, investigators found a small bag containing suspect cocaine in the phone case, police said.

Police said in court papers this week that they were continuing to search for child porn on devices seized during the search warrant execution.
Godwin was being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility as of Thursday on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
