A Levittown man is facing a number of charges in Ohio after he was located during the search for a now-deceased Lower Makefield Township man who was eyed in connection to a fatal Halloween triple shooting in Bensalem Township.

Joshua “Jay” Marquez, 25, of Falls Township’s Levittown section, was arrested on November 2 in Marysville, Ohio, which sits near Columbus, following a police chase.
According to police in Ohio, Marquez was in a silver 2014 Hyundai Elantra that had been reported stolen out of Pennsylvania. One of the people vehicle was Sean Hughes, 19, who was the person of interest in the Halloween shooting that killed 14-year-old Pietro “Peter” Romano and wounded a 17 year old and 19 year old.
Hughes and Marquez bailed from the stolen car and a short manhunt took place. It ended with Marquez in custody and Hughes shooting himself in the head, killing himself, authorities said.

Union County, Ohio, court records reviewed by LevittownNow.com show Marquez was indicted late last month of charges of obstructing justice, receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, and having weapons while under disability. He was charged with a weapons-related offense following his November 2 arrest.
Bensalem Township police have said Marquez is not being charged in relation to the Halloween shooting. It is not believed he was involved.

Between 2015 and 2018, Marquez pleaded guilty in a Middletown Township robbery case, a Falls Township simple assault case, and a Bristol Township drug case, according to court records.
In Bucks County, recent court filings said Marquez owes the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas money for past cases and was accused this year of violating his probation/parole.
The Halloween shooting occurred at 7:35 p.m. when Bensalem Township police were called to the scene at Route 13 and Woodbine Avenue after reports of a large group of juveniles fighting. Around the same time, several shots rang out and the three teens were hit with bullets.

Police determined a gray 2014 Hyundai Elantra that had been reported stolen from Bristol Township fled the scene of the shooting at Route 13 and Woodbine Avenue in Bensalem Township.
