Each of these baskets was brimming with all the essentials for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including mashed potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, rolls, and even a bottle of sparkling cider. Desserts were not forgotten, with pastries and pies also included, ensuring a complete holiday feast.

Renee Stewart, the associate chief nursing officer (ACNO) of Lower Bucks Hospital, expressed her pride in the staff’s continuous efforts.

“With each basket, we are not only helping families access nourishment; each basket is an opportunity for community members to share a holiday meal with loved ones, which can positively impact mental and emotional health as well,” she said.

The donation came at a time when the soaring prices of groceries have heavily impacted how families celebrate the holidays.

For those struggling financially, receiving a donated Thanksgiving meal can transform their holiday experience from stressful to joyful, according to hospital staff.
