
A fire engulfed a mobile home in the W section of the Pennwood Crossing mobile home park early Wednesday morning, leading to the loss of three pets, officials reported.

Firefighters were called to the scene on Woodside Drive in Falls Township around 3:30 a.m. after reports of a dwelling fire.

Upon arrival, the crews encountered heavy fire engulfing the mobile home, said Falls Township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito.
Despite the intensity of the flames, the female resident of the home managed to escape without injury, Dippolito said.

The blaze claimed the lives of a dog and two cats, according to the fire marshal.
No injuries were reported among the firefighters battling the inferno.

The home was completely destroyed by the fire, leaving behind charred remains.
Findings by the fire marshal’s office showed the fire was accidental in nature, Dippolito told LevittownNow.com.
Levittown Fire Company No. 1 was assisted at the scene by the Falls Township, Fairless Hills, Morrisville, and Tullytown fire companies.
