On November 4, Bristol Township police, alongside an FBI special agent and a federal task force officer responded to Harry S. Truman High School after TikTok reported a user, “mattyice040,” for threatening posts, according to court documents filed Friday.

Matthew Zio, 19, was located at his home on Bloomsdale Road by law enforcement, police said.

During an interview, Zio admitted to making the threats and stated that if he had a firearm, he would potentially carry out the attack, police said.

The incident led the Bristol Township School District superintendent to issue a warning urging staff and faculty to remain vigilant, according to police.

The threats also caused alarm at the nearby Bucks County Technical High School in the township, police said.

Law enforcement said area school officials were worried after being alerted to the threat.
