
A 65-year-old Langhorne Borough man was struck and killed by a vehicle on North Pine Street (Route 413) Monday evening, according to Langhorne Borough police.

Chief of Police John Godzieba said the crash occurred at 6:33 p.m. in the 100 block of North Pine Street, between Maple Avenue and the Pine Watson Shopping Center.
On arrival, officers found the victim lying unresponsive in the northbound lane and he was quickly transported to St. Mary Medical Center by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
The 65-year-old man was later pronounced dead at the hospital, Godzieba said.

The driver of the vehicle, who was heading northbound on North Pine Street, stayed at the crash scene and has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation, the chief said.
The Bucks County Coroner’s Office is working to notify the next of kin of the deceased, whose identity has yet to be released to the public.

Traffic on North Pine Street was stopped for roughly 3.5 hours following the crash.
Langhorne Borough Police, in collaboration with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Fatal Crash Reconstruction Team, are leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company and fire police from both Langhorne-Middletown and Parkland fire companies.
