The Bristol Township Parks and Recreation Department has announced the rescheduling of the Fall Festival, originally slated for this Saturday, due to the anticipated rainy weather.

The event will now take place on Saturday, November 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bristol Township Municipal Park along Bath Road. A contingency plan is in place, with a rain date set for Sunday, November 5.

The event was initially pushed from September to October due to rain last month.

In Middletown Township, the new “Groovin’ at the Gates” festival slated for Saturday has been cancelled.

Township officials said the decision to cancel the event in the township’s Levittown section was due to the forecast of prolonged rain over several hours.

“Unfortunately, we do not have a rain date scheduled for this yearโ€™s event due to the complexity of rescheduling. However, we remain committed to bringing the joy and excitement of Groovinโ€™ at the Gates to our community. With this in mind, we are planning next yearโ€™s event for fall 2024,” a township statement said.

“We understand the disappointment that this decision may bring,” said Anna Payne, chairperson of the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors. “The entire Board of Supervisors of Middletown shares in that disappointment and are already looking ahead to the future, where we can come together safely and enjoy all that Groovinโ€™ at the Gates has to offer.”

In the statement, township officials said: “The Township extends our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and the local community for their unwavering support.”
