
A number of utility poles were taken down near the Burlington-Bristol Bridge on Friday.

The incident happened around noon on Veterans Highway between the bridge and State Road in Bristol Township.
Initial reports were that a truck took down several wires and poles along the roadway.
Police said detours were in place and traffic will be impacted.

The Croydon Fire Company posted to Facebook that the incident caused a closure of the bridge.
In addition to police and firefighters, PECO crews were on the scene as of 1 p.m.
