Paving crews have been at work in Bristol Borough since the beginning of July as they move forward with milling, repairing, and repaving.

The borough hired contractor James D. Morrissey to carry out the summertime roads project this year.
The borough is repaving:
• Pond Street from between Beaver Street and Monroe Street
• Otter Street between Linden Street and Maple Street
• Beaver Street between Pond Street and Canal Street
• Mulberry Street between Pond Street and Radcliffe Street
• Jefferson Avenue between Garden Street and Mansion Street
• Lincoln Avenue between Pond Street and Wood Street
• Pine Grove Street between Radcliffe Street and Bristol Street
• Bristol Street between Radcliffe Street and the river
• Warren Street Alley between the bend in the road and Inlet Street
• Bridal Path Road between Green Lane and Landreth Road
• Plum Street Alley between Pine Street and Clymer Street
• Pearl Street Alley between Maple Street and Linden Street
• The alley next to Pond Street Lake Street between Spruce Street and Lake Street Alley

As of this week, crews were working on repairing Pond Street, which is expected to be repaved by next Friday.
Closures are possible while road work is taking place.

Amanda Fuller, who works for the borough’s engineering firm Gilmore and Associates, briefed Bristol Borough Council recently on the work. She told council that the project was a bit behind, but the the contractor was making good progress.
Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe said earlier this year the borough was looking to get more paving than is typically completed done this year.
Due to the paving work, the Bristol Borough Car Cruise set for August 16 was cancelled.
