In the aftermath of the weekend storms that wreaked havoc in the region, authorities in Middletown Township have been forced to close a road due to damage.

Silver Lake Road was closed between Banks Road and Stone Bridge Court, officials announced Sunday afternoon.
The closure of Silver Lake Road came after storms inflicted damage to the roadway.
The township said the road will remain closed until it can be repaired.

“Please follow posted detours and exercise caution as storms persist,” a statement said.
