UPDATE: 37-Year-Old Man Dies In River During Swim With Friends

Emergency officials were out along the Delaware River in boats Saturday evening.

Bystanders reported to LevittownNow.com that firefighters in boats were spotted along the river in Falls Township around 6:30 p.m.

A dispatch recording reported the Falls Township, Levittown No. 1, Morrisville, and Tullytown fire companies, along with a Capital Health Emergency Medical Services ambulance, were called to the area of Biles Island on the river for a reported marine rescue. The Trenton Fire Department was also called to the river.

Police didn’t immediately comment on the situation, but early reports indicated at least one person had been reported missing in the river.

The status of the missing person wasn’t confirmed as of 8:30 p.m.
