
PennDOT is warning drivers of a planned nighttime lane closures on I-295.

In a statement, PennDOT said single-lane closures will take place Thursday and Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the eastbound and westbound lanes between the Bristol and Penndel/Levittown exits.
The closures will be for rumble strip and delineator installation, according to PennDOT.
The section of highway in Bristol Township and Middletown Township recently was repaved after work on the bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Drivers are asked to give extra time when traveling through the work zone, as backups may occur.
The work this week is weather dependent.

The work is part of a $44.6 million regional improvement project.
Driscoll Construction Company Inc., of Philadelphia, is the general contractor on the project. Federal funds are covering the cost of the work.
