As part of ongoing intersection improvements at Hulmeville Avenue and West Lincoln Highway, PennDOT will close a lane between West Lincoln Highway and Comly Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The closure is needed for ongoing construction.

PennDOT is working to widen the existing intersection and add exclusive left-turn lanes. The project will also encompass milling, repaving, and striping the intersection and its approaches; upgrading existing traffic signal equipment; and installing new ADA curb ramps at the West Lincoln Highway intersections at Hulmeville and Noeland avenues.ย

Additionally, PennDOT will be replacing the existing sidewalk along the north and south side of West Lincoln Highway approaching the intersection with Hulmeville Avenue; adjusting the curbing to improve truck turning radius; and upgrading drainage inlets and pipes.

PennDOT advised drivers to give extra time when traveling through the area due to possible backups.

Road-Con, Inc., of West Chester, Chester County, is the general contractor on the $2.2 million project. The federal government is providing the funding for the project.
