Two People Escape Injury After Tree Falls On Vehicle

Two people narrowly escaped injuries Friday evening after a tree fell on the car they were traveling in.

The incident happened just past 7:40 p.m. at West Fairview Avenue and Hulmeville Avenue in Langhorne Manor Borough after a thunderstorm rolled through.

Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said the two people inside were unhurt, but the car was damaged.

Crews cleared a path for the two people to exit the vehicle.

Firefighters were initially concerned about downed wires, and checked to make sure the area was safe before the two people – a husband and wife – in the car were escorted through the debris, Farry said.

The Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company was assisted at the scene by the Parkland and Penndel fire companies.

The road was blocked into Friday night before the tree was completely cleared.
