Detectives wrote in court papers that Khan, a mother of four kids who works part-time at Dunkin’, told them she went to the park to discuss the relationship with her estranged husband. The woman reportedly told investigators the meeting did not go well and she killed Iqbal.

Officers were called to the park at 10:53 a.m. for a report of shots fired. They arrived and found Khan with blood on her clothing, police said.

The officers then found Iqbal on the grass at the park and with gunshots wounds to the stomach and head, police said.

Witnesses relayed to police that Iqbal and Khan were talking along the beach when she was heard speaking loudly in another language. At that point, witnesses heard a pop and saw Iqbal brush his hand on his body. He then began to wrestle with Khan and additional pops were heard, police said.

Iqbal began walking toward the Mill Street Parking Lot and told a bystander to call 9-1-1. Khan then fired two more shots at Iqbal, causing him to collapse to the ground. She then raised the 9mm handgun as he laid on the ground and fired twice at his stomach and then once in the head, police said.

The Bucks County Rescue Squad responded and pronounced Iqbal deceased at the scene, police said.

A Bucks County District Attorney’s Office detective and a Bristol Borough officer interviewed Khan’s boyfriend, who said the two had been dating for more than a year. He stated he received a phone call around 10:53 a.m. from Khan where she asked him to pick up her son, who was at the park. She reportedly stated she killed Iqbal, police said.
