In a statement this week, state police said they are investigating an April 29 incident that happened late at night in Bristol Township.

A tow truck driver was towing a disabled 2015 Dodge Challenger from I-95 at the Bristol Exit to a lot in Bristol Township when a woman arrived, state police said.

The woman was upset over having a bill for towing the Dodge and threatened the tow truck driver. The woman stated she had a permit to carry a gun, had a gun in the car, and would shoot an employee if the car was not released, state police said.

Troopers said they arrived and searched the Dodge, finding a gun inside the vehicle.

The woman was identified by law enforcement and found not to have a license to carry a gun, state police said.
