SUV Takes Out Pole, Driver Taken To Hospital

A driver was taken to the hospital after a crash Sunday afternoon in Bristol Township.

The crash happened at Beaver Dam Road at Ashby Avenue just past 12:20 p.m., according to Third District Fire Company Battalion Chief David Burns.

Police, firefighters, and medics were called for a report of a one-vehicle crash with entrapment.

The SUV took out a utility pole in the crash and flipped onto its side.

Firefighters got to work and extricated the driver from the SUV, according to the Third District Fire Company.

The driver was handed over to medics to transport them to a local hospital for treatment, Burns said.

The extrication took about six minutes to complete.

The Third District Fire Company was assisted at the scene by the Bristol, Bristol Consolidated, Edgely, and Newportville fire companies. The Bucks County Rescue Squad also responded.
