Green Teams from Charles Boehm Middle School and Afton Elementary School recently conducted energy audits at their schools.

Led by Certified Energy Manager Todd Rogers, the students were provided with light meters, kilowatt meters, and other tools to search for the energy vampires and identify ways to maximize energy use in order to improve the learning environment. Rogers worked with the National Energy Education Development Project to establish and manage a K-12 Energy Education Program.
In collaboration with Pennsbury School Board Directors Gary Sanderson and Linda Palsky, the students’ findings led to a list of recommendations for enhancing energy efficiency at both schools.
