It was January 1975 when 17-year-old Pennsbury High School senior Patty Bartlett was stabbed outside the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown Township.

All these years later, Bartlett’s death remains unsolved.
Recently, 6abc profiled the case and talked with Jeannette Bartlett, the sister of the victim.
“We just want justice and closure and peace at this time,” said the victim’s sister.

Bartlett was leaving the mall when she was stabbed after buying supplies for her passion of photography. She left The Camera Shop in the mall and walked through the snowy and dark parking lot to her car where she was stabbed twice in the groin and twice in the chest.
She managed to walk toward the mall, where she was located. She was transported to St. Mary Medical Center and later died.

Media reports from the time indicated she died from bleeding caused by the stabs wounds.
In the weeks and months following the murder, there was a significant effort to solve the crime. The investigation continued over the decades.
A 2011 Bucks County Courier Times profile on the case said detectives set up a trailer to interview potential witnesses at the mall, hired a hypnotist, talked with Bartlett’s boyfriend, and even chased down leads that a serial killer committed the crime.

None of the leads panned out.
6abc reported the Citizens Crime Commission is now administering a $5,000 reward for tips that lead to authorities arresting and getting a conviction of the person who committed the crime.
