A Middletown Township home was badly damaged by a Friday afternoon fire.

The fire was reported at 3:55 p.m. at the residence in the 200 Norsam Drive. Dispatchers received several calls reporting the fire.
No injuries were reported, and a neighbor saved the family dog, according to Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry.
Crews arrived to find flames coming from the rear of the home.

Farry said crews began battling the blaze and had it under control within 40 minutes.
The fire was largely contained to the exterior of the home.

The Middletown Township Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the cause.
The Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company was assisted at the scene by the Parkland, Penndel, Fairless Hills, William Penn and Yardley Makefield fire companies, along with the Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Management and Newtown Fire Rescue. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad was also on the scene.
