Levittown Woman Arrested After Chase, Striking Police Car

A woman from Levittown was arrested and charged after leading Lower Makefield Township police on a short chase in a stolen vehicle on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

Heather Renn was charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, flight to avoid apprehension/trial/or punishment, reckless endangerment, obstruction of the administration of law or other government function, and possession of a controlled substance, according to court records.

At around 10:24 a.m., police had a license plate reader hit on a stolen vehicle at the intersection of Big Oak Road and Oxford Valley Road. Upon attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver fled, which led to a short pursuit, Lower Makefield Township police said.

The chase ended when the vehicle drove into a dead end on the 14000 block of Cornerstone Drive, police said.

Renn attempted to evade police by ramming into a Lower Makefield Township patrol vehicle, police said.

According to police, Renn was taken into custody and a records check revealed she was wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office, Falls Township police, and Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey police.

A search of Renn led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, police said.

The 42-year-old passenger, a man from Philadelphia, had a warrant out of Bucks County. He was also taken into police custody and turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.

Renn was arraigned by District Judge Corryn Kronnagel and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $85,000 bail.
