The TMA Bucks’ Community Traffic Safety Program recently visited Brookwood Elementary School in Bristol Township’s Levittown section to educate all first-grade students on pedestrian and bicycle safety.

As part of the program, the students were read the safety book “Franklin’s Bicycle Helmet,” which emphasizes the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle and not giving in to negative peer pressure.

In addition, the students were shown a short presentation on pedestrian safety, covering topics ranging from traffic signals and signs to reminders to be aware of motorists while playing in neighborhoods.
The effort aimed to promote safe behaviors and prevent accidents among young children, and Brookwood Elementary School was one of several schools that have taken part in the TMA Bucks’ Community Traffic Safety Program.
