Motorcycle Bursts Into Flames After Colliding With Truck


A motorcyclist was hurt and his bike destroyed after it caught fire following a collision.

The crash happened at Old Orchard Lane and Fayette Drive in Bristol Township around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Bristol Township police, the Bucks County Rescue Squad, and Third District Fire Company were called to the scene that sits within walking distance of the rescue squad, fire station, and Lower Bucks Hospital.

The motorcycle smashed into a van and the motorcyclist went down. The motorcycle then burst into flames, according to Third District Fire Company Chief Howard McGoldrick.

The fire engine arrived to find the motorcycle fully engulfed, McGoldrick said.

The chief told LevittownNow.com that a delivery driver for Little Rocky’s Pizza was able to pull the motorcyclist from the burning bike.

The van driver was unhurt and the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for head trauma and burns. McGoldrick said.
