The devices were found at the 7-Eleven gas station located at 527 West Lincoln Highway and Express Gas at 652 Bellevue Avenue on Monday morning. The third gas station in the borough was also checked, but no devices were found, police said.

According to police, this is the first time they have been able to locate the devices and they will be increasing their frequency of checking the pumps for them.

The department has been receiving numerous complaints about credit card skimming devices recently and has been working with business owners to prevent them, police said.

“All of the business owners have been fully cooperative with police during these investigations,” police said in a statement issued Tuesday.

Authorities advise anyone who has used the gas pumps at these locations recently to monitor their credit card activity and contact their credit card company for a replacement card. A credit card company can also put an alert on an account for any suspicious activity.
